  1. A good reminder to encourage growth, within their own comfort pace. Ensuring safety and yet still encouraging nonjudgmental awareness without expectation’s of a glorious experience. We all heal within the process of learning and we all experience the process differently. Acceptance allows for this understanding. This lesson brings to attention the importance of format, class overview of rules and expectations with clarity. A great reminder, thank you!

  2. This lesson was the most helpful in helping me design the class I would like to teach. It was extremely helpful to think about the norms and rituals that I value. It was also helpful to think about the folks who might derail the group, and to have some information on how to manage challenging students.

  3. This lesson has so much hidden value. Each of the stages of a class are clearly defined here on paper but its a whole different story when you are in the middle of a teaching session. In providing this clarification and taking the time to consider what may arise at each level and more importantly the strategies to address in the moment is brilliant. Thankyou for this wisdom and reminders of each stage of the process.

  4. This section really helps me focus on how I want to set up the class and for the clients who would be coming. My focus would be on men of color and autistic men. practicing at home every day gives me the confidence and it also helps me to explain to my clients what they should and will be feeling through this process as it grows for them.

  5. Great information. I have facilitated many groups over the years of all ages and so setting the agenda and expectations are important and helps you connect to the students. Safety is important as a whole and allowing for open conversation will help everyone learn at a deeper level.

  6. I found this information very practical and helpful. It gives me more confidence to have strategies in place and be prepared for at least some of the challenges that may arise.
