This lesson was the most helpful in helping me design the class I would like to teach. It was extremely helpful to think about the norms and rituals that I value. It was also helpful to think about the folks who might derail the group, and to have some information on how to manage challenging students.
This lesson has so much hidden value. Each of the stages of a class are clearly defined here on paper but its a whole different story when you are in the middle of a teaching session. In providing this clarification and taking the time to consider what may arise at each level and more importantly the strategies to address in the moment is brilliant.
