Recording Meditations & Adding Music

Hi there,

A member of the program reached out to me to ask about options for recording one's own meditations and adding music. I personally record using Audacity and then I hire an audio expert to pair it with music. I know there are other ways that one can do it themselves without having special audio skills, but I am not sure what software/apps are good for this.

One thing I'd say for music is to make sure you have permission/the rights to use it. I have purchased background music from Enlightened Audio, but I know there are many options: https://enlightenedaudio.com/

Can anyone recommend apps, software, or simple ways of creating their own meditations with music?

For free options, I am thinking that one could just record directly onto their phone. I did this for a while, and I had a tiny little plug-in mic to improve the audio (just made a small difference).

In one of the Q&A calls, a student mentioned she really liked using the Mindist app. It doesn't look like it's free and I haven't used it so can't attest to it, but it could be a low cost option worth at least exploring - https://www.mindist.io/
